Sausage Butter Biscuits (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Things You’ll Need

01 - 1 tablespoon sugar (regular granulated)
02 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
03 - 1/2 cup melted salted butter
04 - 1 pound breakfast sausage, uncooked
05 - 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
06 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
07 - 1 3/4 to 2 cups buttermilk

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 450°F. Coat a 9x9 pan made of glass or ceramic with cooking spray.
02 - On medium-high heat, cook the sausage in a big skillet till it’s no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes. Drain it with paper towels.
03 - In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Pour in buttermilk and stir gently until the dough feels sticky. If needed, add a splash more buttermilk. Mix in sausage and cheese carefully.
04 - Pour the melted butter into your pan, then drop the biscuit mixture on top. Spread it out and cut it into 9 portions.
05 - Place the pan on the middle rack and bake for 25-30 minutes. Rotate halfway through. If it’s browning too fast, cover it with foil. It’s done when a toothpick comes out clean.

# Notes:

01 - This is a fuss-free way to make buttery biscuits full of cheese and sausage.
02 - Spraying your hands with cooking spray makes spreading the dough easier.
03 - Oven temperatures can vary, so check while baking.
