In a small pan, cook the cherries with a splash of water (about 2 tbsp) over low heat for a few minutes until softened. Gently press to get the juices out.
02 -
Heat 1 cup of water to boil. Let the Earl Grey sit in the water for 3-5 minutes. Then take out the bag or strain it if using loose leaves.
03 -
Mix the milk into the cherry mixture in the saucepan, including the optional cinnamon stick if you like. Stir gently while heating.
04 -
Pour some vanilla syrup into the milk-cherry blend. In a cup, mix together the brewed tea and strained milk mixture. Push the cherries to get all that juice out. Stir everything around.
05 -
Serve right away while it's hot. Or, let it cool and add ice if you're in the mood for a chilled version. You can toss some cherries or a cinnamon stick on top to make it look fancy.
