Easy Spicy Gochujang (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/3 cup potato starch or cornstarch
02 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted (for topping)
03 - 1/2 onion, chopped small
04 - 1 green onion, chopped fine (for topping)
05 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
06 - 1/4 cup neutral oil or vegetable oil

→ Sauce

07 - 1 tablespoon potato starch or cornstarch
08 - 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
09 - 1 cup of water
10 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil, toasted
11 - 2 tablespoons of gochujang
12 - 2 tablespoons regular soy sauce
13 - 2 minced garlic cloves
14 - 2 tablespoons white sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Cut chicken into pieces about 1.5 inches and drop them into a large bowl.
02 - Mix up the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and keep it on standby.
03 - Sprinkle the chicken with the starch and toss until the pieces are all covered.
04 - In a big pan, heat oil on medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until it’s crunchy and golden, about 5-6 minutes each side.
05 - Sauté onions till soft and clear, then add the sauce and simmer. When it’s thick, toss in the chicken, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.

# Notes:

01 - Thighs can be swapped with chicken breast
02 - Switch white sugar for honey or brown sugar if you'd like
03 - Great option for prepping meals in advance
