Hearty Meaty Lasagna (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 ounces mozzarella cheese.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds.
03 - 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce.
04 - 1 pound ground beef.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
06 - 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste.
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
08 - 1 tablespoon dried basil.
09 - 1 large onion, chopped.
10 - 1 cup Parmesan cheese.
11 - 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning.
12 - 1/2 cup water.
13 - 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
14 - 1 large egg.
15 - 16 ounces ricotta cheese.
16 - 1 pound Italian sausage.
17 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley.
18 - 12 lasagna noodles.
19 - 2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes.
20 - 1 tablespoon salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook browned meats together with onion and garlic, then drain. Stir in tomatoes and spices, simmer for 90 minutes.
02 - Mix up ricotta, an egg, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Follow box directions for noodles, drain, and give 'em a rinse.
04 - Spread a thin layer (1 cup) of sauce in the bottom of a 9x9 pan. Lay down 3 noodles.
05 - Top with 1/3 ricotta, 1/3 mozzarella, and sprinkle 1/4 cup Parmesan. Do this layering two more times.
06 - Cover the dish using foil and bake for 25 minutes at 375°F.
07 - Take the foil off and cook another 25 minutes. It should look bubbly.
08 - Set it aside for 15 minutes to cool before slicing and digging in.
