Hot Chocolate Crockpot (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup half-and-half.
02 - 3 cups whole milk.
03 - 3 tablespoons white sugar.
04 - 1 teaspoon optional espresso powder.
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring.
06 - 6 ounces chopped dark chocolate.
07 - A pinch of kosher salt.
08 - 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa.
09 - Extras if you like: whipped cream, marshmallows, caramel drizzle, mini chocolate chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Toss everything except the toppings into a 3-quart slow cooker—milk, half-and-half, chocolate, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, espresso powder, and salt.
02 - Whisk it hard for a minute or two until the cocoa powder disappears into the mixture.
03 - Set the cooker to low for 2-3 hours or high for 45 minutes to an hour. Stir it every 45 minutes while it melts and heats up.
04 - Keep it warm or on the low setting. Scoop some into cups and throw on any toppings you’re in the mood for.

# Notes:

01 - Stick with whole milk for the best result.
02 - Skip using chocolate chips—they don't work well here.
03 - Good for up to 4 days in the fridge.
