Sesame Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large egg.
02 - 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.
03 - A small pinch of salt and pepper.
04 - 1 pound of chicken thighs, boneless and skinless.
05 - 2 tablespoons of oil for cooking.
06 - 1/4 cup soy sauce.
07 - A splash of water (2 tablespoons).
08 - 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil.
09 - 3 tablespoons of brown sugar.
10 - 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar.
11 - 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger.
12 - 2 minced cloves of garlic.
13 - 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.
14 - 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch for thickening.
15 - 4 cups cooked jasmine rice.
16 - 2 green onions.

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, water, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and sesame seeds.
02 - Beat the egg, mix it with salt, pepper, and cornstarch. Cut chicken into bite-sized chunks and coat them with the egg mixture.
03 - Pour oil into a hot skillet and let it heat up. Add chicken, let it sit to brown, then flip over and cook fully.
04 - Add sauce to the chicken in the skillet and stir as it thickens. Dish up over rice and scatter green onions on top.

# Notes:

01 - Don’t stir the chicken too much to keep the coating in place.
02 - Make sure the skillet is really hot before adding the chicken for a better crust.
