French Dip Sandwiches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6-8 crunchy rolls.
02 - 6-8 slices provolone or swiss cheese.
03 - 2 cans of beef stock.
04 - 2 cups of water.
05 - 2 packets dry onion soup mix.
06 - Black pepper.
07 - Kosher salt.
08 - 2 1/2 to 3 lbs chuck roast.
09 - 2 tbsp olive oil.

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up the oil in a pan and brown all sides of the seasoned roast.
02 - Pour meat and juices into a slow cooker, then toss in the broth, water, and soup mix.
03 - Set on high for 4-6 hours, or let it go low and slow for 8-10 hours until soft.
04 - Once pull-apart tender, break the meat into shreds.
05 - Layer the meat on your rolls, add cheese, and pop under the broiler until gooey.
06 - Use the leftover cooking liquid as a tasty dip and serve up.

# Notes:

01 - Frozen roast works; just cook longer.
02 - You can skip browning the meat if you want.
03 - Can be made with an Instant Pot, too.
