Combine 2 tablespoons of milk with the cornstarch. Stir until smooth and lump-free.

Warm up the rest of the milk over gentle heat. Toss in the chocolate pieces and whisk until they're completely melted.

Mix in cocoa powder and a pinch of salt. If you like it sweeter, stir in some sugar.

Slowly pour the cornstarch mix into the pot. Stir non-stop until it thickens.
