Cheesy Cauliflower Steaks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - A couple of medium cauliflowers.
02 - 1 tbsp of cooking oil.
03 - 1 tsp of sea salt, finely ground.
04 - 1/2 tsp of black pepper.
05 - 2 tsp of onion powder.
06 - 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan.
07 - 1/2 cup of cheddar or gruyere, shredded.
08 - Chopped fresh chives for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 400°F/200°C. Cover a big baking tray with parchment.
02 - Cut the cauliflower into about 6 slices, each 3/4-inch thick.
03 - Sprinkle parmesan onto the tray, and then put the cauliflower steaks on top.
04 - Combine the oil, spices, and onion powder. Coat the cauliflower slices with this mix.
05 - Bake for 20 minutes or until the cauliflower softens.
06 - Scatter gruyere over the steak tops and bake another 10-15 minutes, or until it’s melted and bubbly.
07 - Garnish with chives and enjoy while warm!

# Notes:

01 - For the best slices, use two similarly-sized cauliflowers.
02 - Save any leftover pieces of cauliflower for other meals.
03 - Pick cauliflowers with a firm texture.
