French Onion Potato (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 medium-sized potatoes, sliced thinly (about 1/8-inch slices)
02 - 2 cans of onion soup, French-style
03 - 1 cup of thick cream
04 - 2 cups of Gruyere cheese, grated
05 - 1 cup of crunchy fried onion topping
06 - 2 tablespoons of thyme, freshly chopped
07 - Salt and black pepper to your preference

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a rectangular 9x13-inch pan.
02 - Place half of the potato slices in the dish, sprinkle with pepper and salt. Pour one can of onion soup and half the cream over them.
03 - Spread the rest of the potatoes. Add the remaining soup and cream, then sprinkle on Gruyere cheese and the thyme.
04 - Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Take the foil off, add the fried onions, and cook uncovered another 15 minutes until it’s nicely golden.

01 - This dish combines creamy layers of potatoes with onion soup flavors, gooey cheese, and crispy onions for a warm, satisfying meal.
02 - Can be prepped and stored in the fridge up to a day before baking.
03 - Gruyere cheese can be swapped with Swiss if needed.
